WATER CONSERVATION
Arohana’s water conservation efforts focus on restoring traditional water bodies, improving groundwater levels, and ensuring sustainable water access for rural communities in Kolar District. Through lake rejuvenation, canal restoration, well revival, and rainwater harvesting, we strengthen the region’s long-term water security.

OUR MOTTO
Well Restoration
Arohana revived 6 agricultural irrigation wells and 2 community drinking-water wells, helping farmers and rural families access clean, dependable water throughout the year.
Rainwater Harvesting
We installed rooftop rainwater harvesting systems in 10 households and 4 government high schools, promoting sustainable water management and reducing pressure on groundwater sources.
Lake Rejuvenation
We have rejuvenated 14 lakes, restoring more than 2,20,000 cubic meters of water-holding capacity (over 22 crore liters). These lakes now act as reliable water sources for agriculture, livestock, and household needs across surrounding villages.
Our mission
Our mission is to restore and protect the traditional water systems of Kolar District. We aim to rejuvenate lakes, revive wells, and improve rainwater harvesting so that rural communities have reliable access to water throughout the year. By strengthening natural water sources, we ensure long-term groundwater recharge, sustainable agriculture, and a healthier ecosystem for future generations.
Our vision
We envision a water-secure Kolar where every village has access to clean and dependable water. Arohana strives to create a future where lakes thrive, groundwater levels rise, and communities actively participate in conserving their local water bodies. Our long-term vision is to build resilient ecosystems that support farming, biodiversity, and sustainable living across rural Karnataka.
